Faisalabad Customs recovers liquor from passenger

FAISALABAD: A customs team deputed at Faisalabad International Airport confiscated four bottles of liquor from a passenger travelling from Dubai to Faisalabad.

Sources told Customs Today that the liquor was seized during the checking of passengers travelling by FlyDubai flight no: FZ-323.

Sources told that customs authorities took action under the supervision of Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig. Two bags carried by passenger named Pha Chotna Javing bearing passport number: DU-002221 belonged to Ukraine was canned out which indicated some suspicion. He was asked to show any contraband item but he did not do so.

So the customs staff thoroughly searched the bag and found four bottles of liquor which were also seized by the airport customs officials.

It is a common practice that passengers coming from other countries carry bottles of alcohol and mobiles with them but mostly they leave them on the premises of the airport.
