FRANCE: A ghostly fish has been discovered at record depths by researchers in the Mariana Trench, the deepest place on Earth. The group of researchers becomes surprised to find it. Mariana trench is considered to be the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean.
The image of this strange specie was captured by Schmidt Ocean Institute’s unmanned research vessel. It has already made almost 90 trip of the Mariana.
The found fish was discovered at depth of 8,145 meters (26,722 feet) which is almost the height of Mount Everest. The fish is believed to be a type of snail-fish. It looks like the other species of the snail fish. The fish had some distinct features like a wet tissue like tail, paddle-lie fins and a different muzzle.
According to the scientists the fish found it almost at the limit of the life. At such a depth it is very hard to survive due to immense pressure of water which can deter the muscle and the nerve function deform the proteins that are essential for the biological activities. Well but still according to boffins there is much to find out in such depth.
