Gold price soars by Rs200 per tola to Rs87,000

KARACHI: The price of 24 karat gold jumped by Rs200 and was traded at Rs87,000 per tola, Karachi Sarafa Association reported on Friday. The price of 10 gram gold also witnessed increase of Rs171 and was traded at Rs74,588.

On Wednesday, the price of 24 karat gold jumped by Rs1750 and was traded at Rs86,250 per tola as compared to the last closing at Rs84,500, Karachi Sarafa Association reported.

The price of 10 gram gold also witnessed increase of Rs1500 and was traded at Rs73,945 against Rs72,445 of last day.

The price of silver remained constant and was traded at Rs1100 per tola and that of 10 gram silver was traded at Rs943.

In international market the price of per ounce gold soared by $ 32 and was traded at $ 1495 as compared to the last closing at $ 1463.

Meanwhile, gold price in global markets crossed 1500 dollars per ounce and gold price gained almost 35 dollars to trade at 1519 dollars per ounce.

Gold price in two days gained by 67 dollars per ounce, while the crude oil price dipped by 2 dollars per barrel.
