DGTR holds seminar on “Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigation & Asset Recovery”

ISLAMABAD: Directorate of Training and Research (DGTR) Islamabad in collaboration with City of London Police held a “Two Weeks Second Train-The-Trainers Course on Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigation And Asset Recovery” for BS-17 to BS-20 officers of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS).

DGTR Director Iram M Aamir while talking with Customs Today said that the Directorate of Training & Research (Customs), Islamabad  in collaboration with City of London Police, funded by UK Government organized a “Two Weeks Second Train-The-Trainers Course on Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigation And Asset Recovery”.

Inland Revenue Service (IRS), National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as well as Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU) and sixteen   senior/middle level officers from all over Pakistan participated in the aforementioned course. She informed that Tim Maycock an Independent Training Consultant from United Kingdom (UK) and Robert Maker Operations Manager and International Law Enforcement Trainer working in the Criminal Justice Development arena, UK conducted two-weeks training session. Both the guest speakers shared their knowledge and expertise with the participants of the course at the premises of Directorate of Training & Research (Customs), Islamabad.

On the opening day session, she highlighted the importance of the subject and acquisition of skilled training. It was apprised that the project is to develop in-house pool of expertise for future trainings through Train-The-Trainers courses on Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigation and Asset Recovery.

The trained officers will be equipped for imparting trainings independently while in the feedback the participants praised the subject course and efforts taken by the Training Directorate and its officers and staff to conduct a successful course. The course participation certificates were given to all participants and shields to the guest speaker as token of appreciation, the Director Iram concluded.
