Multan Adjudication adjourns hearing of 15 seizure cases worth Rs144.2m

MULTAN: Collector Customs Adjudication adjourned hearing of 15 seizure cases of worth Rs144.2 million.

According to details, Collector Adjudication Dr. Akhtar Hussain carried out first hearing of 15 seizure cases of Customs Collectorate Multan Preventive and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation after assuming his responsibilities.

Collector Adjudication carried hearing of seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization and Customs Intelligence in their actions in jurisdiction.

These seizure cases include M/s Al-Asghar Goods Transport Company Quetta & other of Rs9 million. Collector conducted hearing against M/s Jamil Ahmad s/o Ltd of worth Rs.17.50 million.

M/s Shams ullah resident of Qilla Abdullah & others facing allegation of smuggling Raisins  & Cigarettes amounting to tax avoidance of Rs.42 million.  Collector Customs Adjudication has also conducted hearing of Dumper truck seized by field intelligence unit of Dera Ghazi Khan.

Customs Adjudication has also done proceeding of contraband items betel nuts, Zafrani patti, Gutka etc of worth Rs.20 million against M/s Sheheyar Goods transport company & others detected by Anti-Smuggling Organization .Collector Dr. Akhtar  Husssain has also adjourned hearing of 2041 Kilogram almond seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization of worth Rs.4 million.  Toyota Land Cruiser seized by Customs Intelligence from Sadiqabad region was also carried out during proceeding.

Collector Customs Adjudication done hearing of various 15 seizure cases of smuggling worth Rs.144.2 million formed by ASO and Intelligence. All seizure cases were adjourned for next hearing which will be announced in next two days and call notices from Customs Adjudication to respondents for hearing of seizure cases.
