Multan Preventive nominates employees to take part in DGTR

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive nominated three employees including two superintendents and one appraiser to take part in training program held by Directorate General of Training and Research Customs.

Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs) has asked Customs Collectorate Preventive to nominate three officials for the training of E& D rules, Intellectual Property Rights and Import Appraisement.

Assistant Collector Preventive Fahad Jamil has nominated Superintendent Muhammad Ilyas for training course of E & D rules which will start from 20th February in the office of Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs) Lahore.

Superintendent (Admin) Branch Muhammad Yousaf Baloch has been nominated for the training of Intellectual Property Rights and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights which will be held on 21st February and it provides the necessary enabling environment for this purpose.

Infringement of Intellectual Property is a theft and weak enforcement of IP rights becomes a big hurdle to innovation and creativity.

This opportunity of training availed by Customs staff will emphasize the role of the customs in enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights.

It will also resolve of protecting society and ensuring compliance with trade rules and its role in achieving a fair and equitable international market assuming greater significance.

Appraising Officer Afsar Amin has been nominated for the import appraisement (Section v to vii) of Pakistan Customs tariff on 25th February in DGTR (Customs) Regional Office Lahore.
