Multan Customs generates Rs38.3m through auction of perishable items

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance has generated Rs38.3 million through auction of perishable goods.

Collector Muneeza Majeed and Additional Collector Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi have approved list of perishable goods after comprehensive discussion for generation of revenue.

he special auction of perishable goods was carried out at Multan Dry Port Sher Shah.

Multan Customs Collectorate carried out auction of perishable food items along with petroleum products before its expiry. Customs sold out almost 130000 litres of various lots of High-Speed Diesel, Petroleum Products during auction.

Several lots of skimmed milk powder, raisin, almonds without shell of Iran, Rani juice and USA origins were also successfully auctioned.

Dried apricots, fruity bar, energy drinks, wafer biscuits, tamarind whey powder, black tea Kenya bulk, drink red bull, dried figs, rani juices and other lots remain unsold due to fewer bid offered by bidder.

Assistant Collector Umer Sajjad supervised the auction of confiscated goods and vehicles at Multan Dry Port along with other staff to ensure transparency.
