Command & Control center will be set up in North Karachi industrial area for foolproof security

KARACHI: Ghulam Murtaza Tabbasum, SSP Central has said that a command & control center will be set up in collaboration with NKATI to ensure foolproof security in North Karachi industrial area and surveillance cameras will be installed installed to monitor internal and external routes of the industrial area. While speaking at a meeting at NKATI, he said that we are closely monitoring the criminals so that a conducive business environment can be provided and ensuring protection of life and property of the industrial community.

NKATI President, Faisal Moiz Khan, SVP Shabbir Ismail, CEO NKIDMC Sadiq Mohammad and senior member managing committee Syed Usman Ali also addressed the meeting. VP NKATI Naeem Haider, deputy chief CMC Syed Yasir Ali, chief DMC Farooq Khatora, Shehzad Elahi, assistant chief CMC and others were also present in the meeting.

Ghulam Murtaza Tabbasum, while vowing to improve the law and order situation in the North Karachi industrial area, said that the police department would use all its resources to curb crime and to eliminate encroachments. So that there is no obstruction in the movement of goods.

Faisal Moiz Khan, NKATI president, while briefing SSP Central about the law & order situation in industrial area, said that industrialists are robbed when they bring cash from the bank and these incidents are increasing day by day.

Therefore, effective measures are urgently needed to control crime. He drew attention to the overcrowding of Ching Chi rickshaws, which disruption of traffic flow, saying that the Godhra Chowk has been occupied by Ching Chi rickshaws due to which traffic jams have become normal, so action is needed in this regard.

Shabbir Ismail, SVP NKATI, said that work was underway to install CCTV cameras in North Karachi industrial area to make it a safe area, but the cooperation of Sindh Police was also required.

Sadiq Mohammad, CEO, North Karachi Industrial & Management Company (NKIDMC), said that the development work in the industrial area is almost complete and the installation of traffic signals and street lights has been completed.

Syed Usman Ali, senior member managing committee, said that signals have been installed in North Karachi industrial area, but it has been observed that signals are not being followed, which needs to be ensured and in case of violation of traffic signals, there should be a challan.

On the occasion, SSP Traffic, Ijaz-ud-Din assured the industrialists to end the presence of Chung Chi rickshaws at Godhra Chowk.
