LAHORE: The destruction of confiscated narcotics, liquor, hazardous goods, medical/surgical equipments/instruments, expired chemicals and pharmaceutical raw material, promotional and printed material as well as other expired consignments etc. shall be held on 26.1.2020 at Land Freight Station, Wagha Lahore.
Collector Azmat Tahira has already constituted a team consisting Ch. Muhammad Saeed, Superintendent, Zulfiqar Ali, Inspector (auction & destruction branch), Irtaza Shahid, Inspector, Nadeem Iqbal Saleemi, Inspector traffic godown, Afzal Mehmood Inspector (unaccompanied baggage), Ghulam Sarwar Mehdi, Inspector GPO, Iftikhar Ahmad Rath, Inspector.
The above mentioned team will arrange safe transportation of goods from Air Freight Unit, Traffic and GPO to destruction site.
Superintendent will be receiving the goods as per destruction list from auction and destruction branch and shift them to the destruction site. The team will arrange vehicles for transportation of goods from AFU, traffic and GPO. Customs Mobile squad will be utilized to escort the vehicles carrying narcotics, liquor and contraband goods etc.
The team will also ensure the quantity and destruction of goods for destruction alongwith safe transportation of goods from AFU (all import and ICG sheds), un-accompanied baggage, export, traffic and GPO to the site of destruction.
The goods shall be handed over to the official of Customs Enforcement and Compliance Lahore under proper acknowledgement of receipt.
The superintendent will also obtain destruction certificates from the concerned official.
Assistant Collector Shafaat Ali Mirza will supervise this exercise.
