Pak Rupee falls by 8 paisa against USD

KARACHI: The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 08 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs152.83 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of 152.75.

However, since start of April, dollar has declined by 47 paisa or 0.3 percent. The greenback has lost 15.6 rupees or 9. 71 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 34 paisa and closed at Rs181.88 against the last working day’s trading of Rs181.54, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.4, whereas an increase of 17 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs210.12 as compared to its last closing of Rs209.95.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 2 paisa each to close at Rs41.61 and Rs40.75 respectively. Dunya
