Pak Rupee gains 75 paisa against USD

KARACHI: The exchange rate of US Dollar decreased by 75 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs152.24 on third business day of the week compared to previous closing of 152.99.

Since start of April, dollar has declined by Rs1.02 or 0.6 percent. The greenback has lost 16.2 rupees or 10 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro depreciated by 59 paisa and closed at Rs184.07 against the last working day’s trading of Rs184.66, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.42, whereas a decrease of 41 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs213.69 as compared to its last closing of Rs214.1.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 7 paisa each to close at Rs41.72 and Rs40.86 respectively.
