Multan ASO seizes 29000 litres smuggled HSD near Sadiqabad worth Rs12m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized 29000 liters of smuggled High-Speed Diesel along with oil tanker near Sadiqabad. The market value of seized smuggled HSD is Rs12 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization Sadiqabad squad received credible information that an oil tanker is carrying smuggled High-Speed Diesel. Anti-Smuggling Organization Sadiqabad formed special team to thwart attempt of smuggling.

Anti-smuggling squad of Sadiqabad started patrolling on suspected areas of Sadiqabad region to thwart any attempt of smuggling. Customs anti-smuggling squad intercepted suspected Hino oil tanker which was filled with 15000 liters of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) oil and driver was asked to produce import documents of said petroleum products.

Driver of said oil tanker failed to produce any legal documents of the said High Speed Diesel. Customs Anti-Smuggling team seized the Hino Oil tanker with 15000 litres HSD and framed seizure report against non-customs paid HSD along with vehicle in their action.

The net worth of seized HSD is Rs1.6 million and value of trailer was almost Rs12 million. Further Investigations is still under way.
