Multan Customs recovers 13 LEDs, 6 laptops & liquor during last five days

MULTAN: Customs staff deputed at Multan International Airport seized 13 LEDs, 6 laptops and several bottles of liquor during different operations in last five days.

As per details, Multan International Airport seized 13 LED, S and 6 laptops from the luggage of a passenger which was travelling from other countries to Multan.

Deputy Collector Multan Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E& C) Airport Muhammad Faizan Badar heads the operations on tip of informer and directed his team for strict monitoring for luggage’s of the passenger. During different operations Multan Airport customs has recovered and seized almost 16 LED, S6 Laptops and 6 bottles of liquor from various luggages of passengers.

All the recovered electronic goods were seized due to non-payment of Customs duty and the bottles of liquor was also found from passenger’s luggage during the routine checking of goods. Sources told Customs Today that said people were trying to evade duties of these goods and few of them are running business of imported electronics.

The values of seized goods during different operations were approximately worth Rs.1.5 million. Further investigations were still under process.
