MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) has generated almost Rs1.434 million through auction of perishable food items .
Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) has carried out special auction for disposal of perishable goods through auction. Multan Customs Collectorate has presented perishable food items after the approval of Collector Muneeza Majeed. Multan Customs carried out special auction of perishable goods at the Multan Customs House.
Multan Customs took special precautionary measures during the auction to prevent public from Corona spread-out and participants of auction was asked to wear face mask for participating in auction and social distance was maintained during auction
Multan Customs Collectorate has offered different lots of dates of Iran origins of almost 16980 Kilograms and different brands of bubble gums, Cakes and almonds in the auction. Their expiry date was 30th October 2021. Multan Customs also presented dried plums, raisin of Iran Origin and Raisin of 2700 Kilogram and 350 kilograms of almond without shell. Almost three lots of perishable foods items were auctioned successfully and two lots were rejected due to fewer bid price offered in auction. Successful bidders deposited the one fourth amounts of perishable goods offered in the auction.
Assistant Collector Umer Sajjad supervised the whole auction process of confiscated goods at Multan Customs House along with other staff to ensure transparency.
