audit financial company tax investigation process business accounting

Directorate of Internal Audit seeks details of official vehicles for examining

MULTAN: Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs) has directed Collector Muneeza Majeed to provide details of official vehicles for examining.

According to the details, Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E & C) Multan is going through audit process of fiscal year 2019-20 and up to 2020-21. Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs) is examining the record of MCC Multan for last two years.

Additional Director Talib Hussain has requested Collectorate of Customs Enforcement and Compliance to submit details within three days. Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs) is inspecting official record of MCC Multan for audit and they are compiling their report after assessing records. The Federal Board of Revenue has instructed audit department to verify the legal usage of official vehicles allotted to them.

It is also important to mention here that Audit team has also analysed the revenue collection records of Collectorate and examine the strategy of Collectorate to achieve the revenue target assigned by the Federal Board of Revenue. Auditors are also comparing previous fiscal revenue collection with corresponding years attained by MCC Multan after assessing it. Auditors will also give their opinion about the lapse of revenue during their findings after assessing official figures.

Further Auditors have already inspected the record for allocation/disposal of confiscated /tampered vehicles record during the audit for the economic year 2019-20.The inspection team have been directed by Additional Director Talib Hussain to discuss the inspection report with the Additional Collector Ghulam Nabi Kamboh MCC Multan so that view point of the Collectorate may be considered before issuance of inspection report.
