LAHORE: Pakistan Customs observed 144 birth anniversary of national poet Allama Iqbal with great zeal. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Customs Enforcement, Lahore clad in immaculate uniform paraded to the mausoleum of lqbal with traditional spirit and enthusiasm. A contingent of Pakistan Navy formed up outside the Mazar and took position alongside.
The ceremonial guard mounting was followed by floral wreath laying at the Mazar of national poet by the Chief Collector Enforcement, Lahore, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary on behalf of the Member Customs Operations Mr. Tariq Huda.
The contingent of Customs comprised of the Chief Collector Appraisement, Central, Lahore Faiz Ahmad, Collector Enforcement, Lahore Basit Maqsood Abbasi, Additional Collector Enforcement Ms. Beelam Ramzan, and Assistant Collector Enforcement Isfandyar Akram Khan who offered fateha and later on Chief Collector Enforcement, Lahore recorded his impression in the visitor’s Book. tribute to the legendary poet and philosopher commemorating his great vision and spirit of idealism. The ceremony was observed by a large number of officers and officials from the Pakistan Customs in Lahore.
