Collector Imran Bokhari foils bid to smuggle 118MT of sugar, impounds NDP vehicles worth Rs60m

KHUZDAR: Under the dynamic leadership of Collector Imran Bokhari, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Khuzdar has taken strict action against smuggling of sugar and other smuggled items.

Sources told Customs Today that during last ten days, 118 Metric Tons of sugar has been seized which values 19.35 million rupees

It is pertinent to mention here that Khuzdar Customs has also seized 6 non duty paid vehicles through strict vigilance at all of its check-posts valuing Rs40 million.

Total value of the above-mentioned seizures fall Rs60 million rupees in international market.

Collector Imran Bokhari directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He further directed that anyone who found involved in should be dealt as per law.

Smuggling of sugar causing huge loss to national kitty. Due to strict measures of Pakistan Customs, marginable decrease is being witnessed in smuggling.
