RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the date for submission of income tax returns.
President RCCI Saqib Rafiq said in a statement that the business community is facing difficulty in filing tax returns due to glitches in the FBR IRIS system.
He added that due to the new change introduced by the FBR in the IT system of IRIS, filers are unable to retrieve the previous wealth statement data. Due to the heavy load of filings in the last week, FBR IRIS goes down and responds slowly. He demanded that the date for filing tax returns be extended to October 31 from September 30.
