LAHORE: M/s Osiris Consultation, in coordination with Directorate General Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement (IPRE) and regional Director Lahore, organized a training and orientation session for officers of Pakistan Customs at Lahore on the Identification and Enforcement of Counterfeit Goods and practices.
Director General customs IPRE, Iram Maqbool Aamir, presided over the session, which was attended by high-ranking FBR officials, including the Director IPRE Neelofar Shahzad Director Intelligence and Collectors from Lahore Appraisement and Enforcement, Overseas Chamber, Ministry of Commerce, and WIPO.
M/S Osiris Consultancy, a global anti-counterfeit multinational organization with bases in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Egypt, chaired the event.
During the session, the Director General IPRE affirmed Customs’ commitment to enforcement and compliance at borders to curb illegal and illicit trade.
The Director General highlighted that such sessions would be conducted in the near future in other cities as well for trade and customs officers to have abreast knowledge on IPR laws and procedures relating to Customs’ department.
