Country’s economic growth linked with success of business sector’

ISLAMABAD: President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari has said that resolving traders issues is of key importance for economic growth and that he will exhaust all options for the purpose to foster the business friendly environment in the capital city, says a press release.

He said this while addressing a mammoth gathering of traders of Blue Area here at Chamber House. He emphasized that nation’s advancement is inextricably linked to the success of its business sector and that ICCI under his leadership is exploring every avenue for the smooth business operations.

He said that Blue Area is the biggest business hub of Islamabad as well as the second biggest tax paying market of the country but lacks necessary facilities that’s why he is constantly in touch with the Capital Development Authority and other concerned departments’ high ups for the quick resolution of its issues like traffic jams, lack of Parking Plaza, provision of space for Flower Market, up gradation of the existing washrooms etc.

Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said that to curb robberies and purse snatching incidents, functionality of safe city cameras is vital and he is in contact with the concerned police officials for the purpose which in turn will boost the attraction of the area for the consumers. He went on to say that under the campaign he has launched for the installation of water filtration plants in different business centres of Islamabad, a suitable site has also been earmarked in the Blue Area and the work on it would commence in next few days.

Chairman Founder Group Khalid Iqbal Malik while appreciating the pro-active role of the office bearers of the Traders Welfare Association Blue Area for the betterment of the community assured unwavering and continued ICCI support for the cause.

Present on the occasion, member Sanitation CDA Mashooq Ali Shaikh by announcing that new Wash Rooms will also be built in Blue Area assured all possible cooperation to the traders’ community for keeping the business centres clean, green and business friendly. He also assured that extra parking facility will be created in Blue Area by removing the waste material. Group leader Blue Area, Yousuf Rajput by reiterating his and his colleagues complete support to Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari warned that the community has to be vigilant of black sheep in its ranks hell bent to inflict loss to traders interest.
