Addressing the media, Director Asif Abbas Khan Buzdar, flanked by Additional Director Mumtaz Ali, disclosed that in May alone, the customs Intelligence teams seized smuggled goods and non-duty paid vehicles valued at over Rs499.891 million.

The haul included 17 non-duty paid vehicles, 16,800 litres of Iranian smuggled diesel, 70 kg of Indian gutka, 2,850 kg of skimmed milk, 25 bags of Chinese salt, 20,000 prohibited medicine tablets, 8,510 packets of cigarettes, 3,500 units of imported cream, 865 kg of cloth, and 1,440 kg of shopping bags and tyres.

All seized items have been taken under the Customs Act of 1969 and moved to a warehouse for further investigation. These operations, carried out at various entry and exit points in different cities of the Multan region, were conducted following the directives of Director Asif Abbas Khan Buzdar and under the leadership of Additional Director Mumtaz Ali Khan.
