MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement team has successfully wrapped up the Hajj operations at Multan International Airport, implementing extensive arrangements to assist Hajj pilgrims.
According to details, Multan Customs undertook special measures to facilitate the smooth departure of Hajj flights from the airport. Comprehensive measures were implemented by Multan Customs to ensure smooth Hajj flight operations from the Multan International Airport. This year, around 12,000 Hajj pilgrims were handled, with 22 flights departing for Jeddah and Madina.
In preparation for the increased activity, approximately 70 customs employees were stationed at the airport, operating in three shifts to ensure continuous support. This enhanced staffing aimed to bolster vigilance and prevent smuggling during the Hajj season. The deployed personnel ensured thorough scanning of every pilgrim, with special attention given to luggage examination in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). Customs staff conducted thorough scans of every pilgrim and their luggage, collaborating closely with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to avert any smuggling attempts.
