Mian Abuzar Shad set to lead LCCI as new president

LAHORE: As the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) transitions into its extended two-year election cycle, seasoned businessmen Mian Abuzar Shad and Faheemur Rehman Saigol are poised to take turns leading the chamber.

After the sweeping victory by the PIAF, Progressive, and Pioneer Alliance in the 2024-26 LCCI elections, Shad is likely to assume the presidency for the first year, with Saigol succeeding him in the second.

Shad, known for his unwavering commitment to Lahore’s business community, is expected to steer the LCCI towards growth and stability during his term. Saigol, with a forward-thinking approach, will focus on modernizing trade practices and strengthening international relations, ensuring continued progress for the chamber in the second year.

With no other candidates filing nomination papers for the presidential, senior vice president, or vice president slots, the election commission is expected to issue an official notification tomorrow. The SVP and VP roles will be filled by renowned businessmen Khalid Usman and Shahid Nazir, respectively.

Their combined leadership promises a bright future for the LCCI, prioritizing innovation and business community needs.
