Pakistan’s petroleum products import bill increases

MULTAN: Pakistan’s petroleum products import bill has increased during December 2024.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has released the report in this regard.

According to report, in December 2024, the petroleum products import bill recorded an increase of 11 percent monthly and one percent annually.

In December 2024, the petroleum products import bill was $1.565 billion while in December 2023, the petroleum products import bill was $1.552 billion.

In November 2024, the petroleum products import bill was $1.40 billion.

In December 2024, petrol imports increased by 10 percent to $584 million compared to December 2023.

In December 2024, diesel imports decreased by 6 percent to $526 million compared to December 2023.

In December 2024, LNG imports decreased by 10.4 percent compared to December 2023 to $346 million.

In December 2024, LPG imports increased by 46 percent compared to December 2023 to reach $108 million.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, the import bill for petroleum products increased by 1 percent to $8.9 billion.
