FBR taking strict action against fake, forge invoices Mukhtiar Hussain Tamim

MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) started crackdown against persons who were involved in submitting fake and forge invoices while departmental stores were being sealed for violation of Point of Sales (POS) rules.

Regional Tax Office (RTO), Multan, Deputy Director Mukhtiar Hussain Thamim said that those departmental stores being sealed who were conducting business sans installing POS.

Mukhtiar Hussain Thamim said that heavy penalties being imposed on retailers and whole-sellers violating POS rules and they are being included in sales tax category.

He told that anyone who will inform Federal Board of Revenue about any person involved in tax evasion and violation of sales tax rules and regulations will be rewarded.

It is pertinent to mention here that there was a big increase of 53 percent in tax collection from salaried people in the seven months of the current fiscal year was recorded.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), in the seven months of the current fiscal year, Rs284.22 billion was collected in the form of income tax on salary.

In the seven months of the previous fiscal year, income tax collection on salary was Rs185.50 billion.

In the seven months of the current fiscal year, compared to the seven months of the previous fiscal year, Rs99 billion more was collected from salaried people.
