PRA chairman reviews service sector’s revenue targets

LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra chaired a meeting to review progress on revenue targets from the services sector here Tuesday.

During the meeting, a detailed comparative analysis of the assigned tax targets and actual collections for the current financial year was presented.

The Chairman directed that enforcement actions against defaulters be further intensified and made more effective. He emphasized strict monitoring of those involved in tax evasion and called for the expansion of intelligence-based operations.

Field formations were instructed to enhance tax collection through digitalization, e-filing and effective utilization of databases.

Clear targets were set for the coming months, with directions to ensure continuous performance monitoring. The Chairman also reaffirmed the commitment to promoting tax culture and accelerating public awareness campaigns on a cashless economy.
