Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that the provincial government’s key priority in the next financial year will be the promotion of economic activity across various sectors.

He added that significant reforms are planned in the agriculture sector as part of the broader economic strategy aimed at strengthening productivity and rural development.

The minister further stated that efforts are underway to gradually improve the tax system to increase the province’s own revenue generation and reduce dependence on federal transfers.

Officials indicated that the upcoming budget is expected to focus on economic stability, investment facilitation, and structural reforms in key sectors.

The final approval of the budget date will be made by the chief minister after reviewing the submitted summary.

The announcement comes at a time when provincial governments across Pakistan are finalising fiscal planning for the next financial year amid economic challenges and revenue pressures.
