The three-year bond was priced at a 2.5% coupon and attracted demand exceeding five times the issue size, opening access to a new pool of institutional capital, diversifying Pakistan’s sovereign financing sources and strengthening Pakistan-China financial ties.

The transaction was delivered through collaboration between the Government of Pakistan, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Chinese authorities, financial advisers, underwriters and market participants.

Proceeds from the bond are supporting green and socially inclusive investments across water, energy and health.

The recognition marks another milestone in Pakistan’s access to international capital markets, broadening its investor base, diversifying financing sources and mobilizing capital for sustainable development.
