Collector Preventive Ansari orders BS-16, above officials to follow rules in posting, transfer

LAHORE: Collector Model Customs Collectorate Preventive Mukarram Jah Ansari has warned custom officials of field formations from BS-16 and above against the circulation of charge assumption and relinquishment report under their signature on promotion and transfer from one office to another.

This procedure is wrong, proper procedure is on transfer from one office to another, officer concerned is required to sign and submit charge relinquishment or assumption slip on prescribed form TR-1 to the department and office concerned, he said in an office order.

Thereafter, it will be formally notified and circulated under the signature of an officer responsible for the administration of that office, he added. He ordered all the gazetted officers from Bs-16 and above of the Collectorate not to circulate his own charge relinquishment and assumption at his own signature.

Such charge will be notified by relevant field officer where the officer has relinquish or assumed charge as per procedure, he stated, warning non observance of the order will result in adverse consequences.
