Bajwa urges officers to improve skills to broaden tax net

LAHORE: FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa has stressed upon the need for improving training skills of officers to work on broadening of tax base plan to increase revenue generation in a better way.

He was addressing the final Passing Out ceremony of 40th Specialized Training Program as a chief guest at Directorate General of Training & Research (Inland Revenue), Lahore.

The FBR Chairman appreciated the training activities at DOT(IR) and reiterated the need for further improving the training skills to widen the tax net and generate more revenue.

He advised the new entrants to work with full devotion after joining field formations and prove themselves as good tax administrators in the backdrop of national and global challenges.

The FBR Chairman congratulated the officers of 40th Specialized Training Program on their successful completion of training.

He also thanked Director General, Ms. Sameera Yasin for inviting him in such an auspicious ceremony.

Then certificates and shields were presented to successful officers and position holders.

Ms. Sameera Yasin, Director General, DOT (IR), Lahore in her address highlighted the training methodology in both structural and practical terms being provided by DOT (IR) to officers of Inland Revenue.

At the end of the ceremony, Director Sheraz Mirza extended vote of thanks.
