A delegation of transporter’s association to meet FBR chief today

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of United Goods Transport Alliance, along with presidents of three provinces: Baluchistan, Punjab and KPK, and other members will meet Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan on Tuesday (today).

General Secretary Muhammad Shoaib will lead the delegation and will present their charter of demands, seeking solution for the problems being faced by goods transporters. High-ups of FBR will also attend the meeting in order to reach an understanding.

Sources told Customs Today that FBR chairman had called this meeting in first week of February after a strike observed by transporters and he has also directed the high officials of FBR to resolve the problems of goods transporters.

The representatives of transporters will also submit a proposal regarding implementation of demands, which was accepted by FBR in last year and will also file complaints that the staff of Customs Intelligence, Customs Preventives and other law organizations are harassing them.
