NEW YORK: A Preview Version of Windows 10 for the mobile is expected in February. A consumer-ready version is expected sometime in late summer or early autumn this year.
Recently, fans came to know that at least one of Microsoft’s new mobile handsets Windows 10 will be ready, the Lumia 532 to be precise. Also, Microsoft has announced that most Windows Phone 8 handsets will be updated to Windows 10, which includes a majority of Lumia devices. Ever since Microsoft caught hold of Nokia and started manufacturing its own branded Lumia smartphones.
And as things stand, fans are not getting any Microsoft Lumia flagship anytime soon. But they are indeed in the coming. According to Microsoft executive vice president of the Operating Systems group Terry Myerson, “flagship Windows phones are coming, later this year.”
In the words of Terry Myerson, the upcoming MWC 2015 event (in March) and the Microsoft Build conference (in April) were two events where the company is likely to make more announcements pertaining to its new OS ecosystem, among others. However, the company won’t announce any high-end Windows phone at the said events.
Clearly, the company is waiting to make Windows 10 go prime time and is likely to launch at least one flagship handset along the same period. In this way, the company can cash in on both hardware and software front together.
