ABAD for more incentives to construction industry

KARACHI:  Chairman Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), Junaid Ashraf Taloo has called for more incentives and facilities for the construction industry to tap its real potential for economic prosperity and development in the country.

He urged for implementation of the national housing policy- 2001 in letter and spirit to strengthen the construction industry.

ABAD Chief was speaking at a seminar organised by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), said an ABAD press release here on Monday.

The construction industry has a very important role in consolidating as well as providing momentum for the revival of the national economy.

Junaid Taloo said the construction industry provides direct and indirect job opportunities to over 120 million individuals.

There is wide scope for architects, engineers and other highly qualified people in the construction sector.

Junaid Taloo added that ABAD would provide necessary guidance to the youth of the country in their efforts for seeking employment opportunities.

Vice Chairman ABAD Muhammad Hanif Memon, on this occasion, said the Government should allocate sizeable funds for developing infrastructure, which will result in creation of jobs and generate economic activity in the country.
