ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Oil and Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project and Tapi Gas project will be completed in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

Giving briefing on various mega projects to foreign diplomats in Islamabad the minister for petroleum said that enough supply of gas in 2018 is our target, a private news channel reported. He said the pipeline project has been stuck for years now because of sanctions on Iran while Pakistan has not been able to build the pipeline on its soil due to lack of funding. Abbasi said that Iran has already built 900 km length of the pipeline on its territory while Pakistan still has to start work on the pipeline that would traverse its territory.
