KARACHI: The United Business Group has announced to nominate Abdul Rauf Alam, former ICCI president, as its presidential candidate for Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for the year 2016.
The United Business Group took this decision during a meeting held under the chair of UBG Patron-in-Chief S M Munir, and Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik. The representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Associations of the four provinces were also present in the meeting and all nominated with consensus as Presidential candidate of UBG for FPCCI. Abdul Rauf thanked all the members of UBG as well as the representatives of Trade Bodies and Associations for posing confidence in his abilities and nominated him as a candidate for the Presidency of FPCCI.
He said for the first time, a businessman from the federal capital, has been nominated as a candidate for the Presidency of FPCCI which was a great honour for the business community of Islamabad. He assured that if elected as President FPCCI, he would take all Trade Bodies and Associations on board on important issues of the business community and would try his level best to take all Trade Bodies and Associations along in efforts aimed at resolving the problems of trade and industry.
