Abdul Waheed Marwat to head newly formed Directorate of Cross Border Currency Movement

ISLAMABAD: Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Additional Director Abdul Waheed Marwat who is part of team working on anti-money laundering in FATF matters is transferred as Director Operations at newly formed Directorate of Cross Border Currency Movement.

Abdul Waheed Marwat is a Customs officer of PCS/BS-19 who is presently working as part of Anti money laundering team on those matters relating with Financial Action Task Force (FATF). He will continue working with FATF team in addition to his new duties as Director Operations Directorate of Cross Border Currency Movement which is working under Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Talking with Customs Today, Marwat said that Directorate of Cross Border Currency Movement is newly established Directorate whereas this Directorate will function under Directorate of General Customs Intelligence Islamabad. He noted that the newly established Directorate got mandate of Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risk.
