FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that 250 employees of the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) have been terminated over corruption charges.
While talking to media persons, he said that the other three chief ministers should take lessons from Shahbaz Sharif to improve the living standards of their people.
The minister said that the officials serving at the same stations for long periods had also been transferred. The state minister said 42 officials had been demoted and promotions of 28 employees stopped who were facing different charges, adding that those terminated included superintendent engineers, executive engineers and SDOs.
Answering a question, he said the complaints of electricity customers were addressed on priority basis and the officials concerned had been directed to cooperate with them.
