About Rs196m more collected within first week of January by Customs Peshawar

ISLAMABAD: The MCC Peshawar received Rs196million extra revenue under all the heads during first week of January FY2017-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of corresponding January FY16-17.

According to details explained by sources of Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar that, during first week of January FY17-18, the Collectorate of Peshawar generated Rs393.94million under all the heads while it did Rs197.24million under the same head during first week of January FY16-17.
The sources told CT that, during first week of January, the Collectorate of Peshawar earned Rs178.43million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas the collectorate did Rs52.48million during the same period of previous FY16-17. The collectorate got an extra revenue of Rs125.95million during first week of January FY1718 against a revenue collection during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The sources informed the correspondent that, during first week of January, the collectorate collected Rs140.52million as Sales Tax (ST) against a revenue collection of Rs93.88million under the same head during first week of January FY16-17. The collectorate received an extra revenue amounting to Rs46.64million against the same previous period of FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Peshawar generated Rs2.99million of Federal Excise Duty (FED) during first week of January FY17-18 against a revenue collection of Rs1.75million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17. The collectorate received an extra revenue of Rs1.24million as FED against the same period of corresponding first week of January FY16-17.
The Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs72.00million of Income Tax (IT) during first week of January against a revenue collection of Rs49.03million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17. The collectorate eraned Rs22.97million extra revenue during first week of January FY17-18 under the same head against the same period of FY16-17.
