Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal to welcome 220,000 passengers from 113 ship calls

ABU DHABI: Two leading cruise lines are making Abu Dhabi their home port for winter cruises. MSC Cruises is offering 16 week-long cruises on the 2,550-berth MSC Musica out of Zayed Port from December 13 2015 to March 26 2016. Passengers will enjoy visits to ports in Sharjah, Oman and Dubai.

Next year Celebrity Cruises will offer 9- and 14-night cruises out of Zayed Port between November 2016 and mid-January 2017 on their co-flagship Celebrity Constellation.

These decisions are the result of the imminent opening of the the new Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal designed to welcome 220,000 passengers from 113 ship calls. The state-of-the-art development will offer facilities for 24-hour immigration and customs services, banking, shopping, dining and road transport.

Abu Dhabi also confidently expects thousands of bednights to result from pre- and post-cruise stays by the cruise passengers.
