AC Beelam orders impounding of smuggled land cruiser

FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Beelam-ur-Ramzan has issued ONO in favour of the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Sargodha and ordered impounding of Toyota Land Cruiser under Section 156 (1) 89 (i) of the Customs Act-1969.

Jhang ASO superintendent intercepted the said vehicle with registration No: LHH-7904 near Vegetable Market (Subzi Mandi) Jhang Road, Chiniot. Driver Qaleem Raza was asked to produce the documents of the legal import but he failed. The ASO team seized the vehicle according to customs bylaws and forward the case to Customs Adjudication.
