Accountability court approves 14-day physical remand of LESCO officers

LAHORE: An Accountability court has handed over four accused arrested by NAB in an embezzlement case of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

According to sources, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore chapter, on Friday arrested four LESCO officers on the charges of making assets beyond their sources of income. They were produced before the court on Saturday for demanding physical remand.

According to details, NAB arrested Superintendent Engineer, Grid System Operations Aziz ur Rehman, Gulshan Ravi XEN Ahmed Shahzad, Deputy Manager Muhammad Naeem and Deputy Manager Muhammad Shafqat.

The NAB has booked them on charges of making assets worth millions of rupees beyond their known source of income. All accused were involved in making embezzlement in Lahore electric company.
