It is pertinent to mention here that Abdul Latif and Company is working on Orange Line Metro Train project Lahore.

According to sources of NAB accused persons were involved in wrong assessment of the projects and technical sanction of the roads and bridges. They did so just to give benefits to Abdul Latif and Company and in return they earned a huge amount in the wake of kickbacks. Accused persons approved the projects without approval of PC1, including projects of NA-18 Faisalabad, Mettaland Road, Tandlayawala Pull and Dengroo Pull.

They have been involved in misconduct and loss of Rs 80 million to the national exchequer. Projects also got late due to their involvement which also increased the expenses on roads.

On Thursday NAB investigation team presented them before the Court of Accountability Lahore and asked for their physical remand. Court approved their physical remand for sixteen days for investigation.
