HYDERABAD: The Accountability Court in Hyderabad here Thursday convicted a former District Officer Roads, Works and Services Department with 4-year imprisonment.
The court found the official Rehim Bux Soomro guilty, who was posted in Tando Muhammad Khan district, of keeping assets beyond the known sources of his income. The spokesman of National Accountability Burea (NAB) Rizwan Soomro informed that a reference was filed against Soomro in 2016.
According to the spokesman, the NAB’s investigation team estimated the worth of his properties at Rs80 million. The convict was arrested from the court’s premises and sent to the Central Jail.
