Additional Collector Beelam hears 12 cases involving Rs 17.2m on Friday‏

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-ur-Ramzan on Friday heard 12 cases of smuggling involving Rs 17.22 million.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sargodha, Jhang and Sara-e-Muhajir seized a huge quantity of smuggled goods, including non-duty paid Hino Truck, foreign origin cloth, cigarettes, Toyota vehicle, ball bearing and other miscellaneous contraband items.

The Faisalabad Customs forwarded four smuggled cases to customs adjudication involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 5.31 million. Two cases were submitted by Jhang ASO involving Rs 3.289 million.

On the other hand, Minawali ASO filed five cases Rs 7.527 million, while Sargodha ASO forwarded one case involving Rs 1.09 million.

The additional collector after hearing, adjourned all the cases until next hearing.
