ADC Beelam issues show-cause notice to Afghan owner of non-duty paid truck

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan has issued a show-cause notice to the owner of a non-duty paid Benz Truck.

The additional collector issued the show cause notice to Nadir Shah son of Haji Badshah, a resident of Kabul, Afghanistan.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organistation (ASO), Mianwali, impounded a truck bearing Registration No. KBL-9197 Model 1998 worth Rs 1.885 million after the driver failed to show documents regarding legal import of the vehicle.

The Mianwali ASO after impounding the vehicle forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings. The adjudication authority also directed the owner to provide evidence otherwise the case will be decided on the basis of evidence available on demand.

The adjudication also directed the ASO Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan to attend the hearing on the schedule date along with relevant record.
