Additional Collector Adjudication Asma  issues ONO In favour of ASO Mainwali

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Asma Hameed has issued an Order in Original (ONO) in favour of the Customs Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali.

As per details, ASO Mianwali has impounded vehicle Mitsubishi Pajero jeep three door gray colour showing registration no: JU-094 Islamabad from the possession of driver Sajjad Hussain son of Sher Muhammad near Toll Plaza M.M Alam Road Mianwali during routine checking.

The seizing agency confiscated the smuggled vehicle according to section 16, 18 of the Customs Act 1969 and section of import and export control act 1950 punishable under section 156(1)89 of the Custom Act 1969 and forwarded the case to adjudication department for legal action.

Whereas, no one appeared to defend the claiming the ownership of the vehicle nor any written reply has been received from the accused. so far Inspector Azhar Hussain appears from the prosecution side and asserted that FSL Islamabad has declared the chassis number of the seizes vehicle as found tampered vide lab report no: 799/2017 from the case record.

After examining the whole case Additional Collector Asma Hameed issued ONO in favour of ASO Mianwali by declaring the seizure of above mentioned vehicle as legal.
