Additional Collector Adjudication declares seizure of NDP Honda City as legal

ISLAMABAD: The Additional Collector Adjudication ordered outright confiscation of the tampered Honda city car which was seized by Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation Islamabad.

According to the details, Additional Collector Jahan Bahadar examined all the record of non-duty paid Honda City car bearing registration No.RLF1652 1590CC having chassis no:GD8-10077131 and various opportunities of hearing were provided to the respondents in said case but they remained failed to appear, which means that they have nothing to offer in their defense hence ex-part action is justified and the charges leveled stand established.

Additional Collector said that on 1st January 2019 the car cell impounded the above-said vehicle from Chairing Cross Rawalpindi while nobody came to claim while occupant of the vehicle fled way from the spot. He added that the chassis of the vehicle no.NFBGE15426R136632 was physically examined and after laboratory test actual chassis number GD8-10077131 appeared which established that the said vehicle is of foreign origin and non-duty paid.

After detailed examination of all the record it was established that the above said vehicle was non-duty paid so its confiscation is legal according to customs laws.
