Additional Collector Adjudication issues show cause notice to owner of NDP goods

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Zahra Haider issued a show cause notice to the owner of non duty paid goods.

According to the details, Customs ASO during routine checking intercepted a Mazda truck bearing registration number MNS-1797 at Shahdara Chowk Lahore. The vehicle was loaded with miscellaneous foreign origin goods. On query, the driver of the vehicle introduced himself as Naseer Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad. On demand he provided bilties bearing nos. 3440, 3438, 3437, 3456, 3443, 3442, 3441 all dated 17.8.2017 issued by M/s Syed Brother Cargo, Lahore. The examination of the said loaded goods was conducted in the presence of said driver and other witnesses which led to the recovery of foreign origin full HDD Digital Receiver with standard accessories, full HD Duel polarization LNBF, Kingron brand new tryes, engine oil and other goods.

Customs ASO team impounded all the goods and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings. Now Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Zahra Haider summoned the owner of the goods on 10.10.2017 at AFU Allama Iqbal International Airport to explain his point of view otherwise ex-parte proceedings will take place.
