Additional Collector Asma Hameed orders to release dry milk

FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Asma Hameed issued Order-in-Original (ONO) to release foreign origin dry milk seized by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Sargodha during an operation.

According to the details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation impounded Hino tanker registration number SGS-08-1112 and recovered dry milk and asked the owner Barkatullah Khan to show documents or any evidence regarding lawful supply of the items.

Owner Barkatullah provided bilty no 3383 issued by M/s Khawaja Goods Transport Company Karachi. However, he could not produce any documented evidence showing legal import or lawful purchase of the loaded goods.

Seizure case against the owner was registered under the provision of Section 194- A of Customs Act 1969 and the case was forward to the Customs Adjudication for further legal action.

Additional Collector Asma Hameed has issued the Order-in-Original 119/2018 in case number 32/18 in which Customs Intelligence and Investigation had seized the dry milk.
