FAISALABAD: The Additional Collector Adjudication Asma Hameed issued show cause notice to owner of non-duty paid vehicle namely Bashir Ahmed.
Sources told Customs Today, that Collector Mubashir Baig received credible information about some non duty paid vehicles. He directed all field formations to start crackdown against owners of these non duty paid vehicles.
During the checking of vehicles, Field Investigation Unit team of Sara-i-Mjuhajir impounded Mazda truck bearing registration number C-9368 Swat. The driver escaped from the spot taking advantages of darkness. However customs team recovered some documents of vehicle who belonged to Bashir Ahmed. FIU team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication.
Now Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Asma Hameed also served a show cause notice on accused person namely Bashir Ahmed who allegedly involved in smuggling of Mazda truck.
The Customs Adjudication issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10 A 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act 1969.
